Ta amfani da sieve na ƙwayoyin cuta na JZ-ZAC, ƙwayar ruwa ita ce 3A, kuma ƙwayar ethanol ta 2.8A ita ce 4.4A. Saboda ƙwayoyin ethanol sun fi ƙwayoyin ruwa girma, ana iya shaƙar ƙwayoyin ruwa a cikin rami, ba za a iya shaƙar ƙwayoyin ethanol ba. Lokacin da ethanol mai ɗauke da ruwa ya shiga cikin sieve na ƙwayoyin cuta, sieve na ƙwayoyin cuta yana shaƙar sassan ruwa, yayin da tururin ethanol ya ratsa gadon shaƙar kuma ya zama samfurin ethanol mai tsarki.
